We spent yesterday at the Inbound Marketing UK 2012 conference in London. This event, hosted by StrangePR and sponsored by Hubspot (amongst others), brought together the leading minds on inbound marketing and covered a variety of subjects including SEO, personalisation, content marketing, lead nurturing and sales. Keynote speakers included David Meerman Scott (author of The New Rules of Marketing & PR) and Mike Vople (CMO at Hubspot).
It was great to sit and talk to other people who are as in love with inbound marketing as us! Although none of the content was particularly ground breaking, it was nice to have a day full of focused, inbound discussions and presentations. These kind of things always help reignite the inbound flame and help to spur us on to make even better, more targeted content.
Like the inbound geeks we are, we sat at the front and took photos of key slides and message. So below are some of our favourites.
You can see what others thought of the day by clicking on this hashtag: #imuk12. Overall we enjoyed the day, but it would have been good to have more interaction and more actionable advice. It was very stat focused and we had a couple of very heavy pitches from the main sponsors. Also the breakout sessions were slightly disappointing as they didn’t really cover what was promised. I think we’d attend again next year, but would hope that the organisers take on board the feedback from delegates (I believe our feeling on the day was mirrored by a lot of other attendees).
