How much does SMEmail cost?
For each campaign you send with more than 5 recipients, you pay a flat delivery fee of £5 plus 1p per recipient. Any campaigns you send to 5 or less people are free of charge.
Let’s say you’re sending an email newsletter to a database of 2,500 subscribers. To send this newsletter, you will be charged £5 plus 1p for each recipient, £25 in this case, making a total of £30.
How do I pay for SMEmail
Are there any hidden fees?
No, SMEmail has absolutely no hidden fees. There is no account setup or monthly access fee (which some other email service providers charge). You only pay for what you use. £5 per campaign delivery fee + 1p per subscriber.
With the current cost of stamps in the UK right now, you’ll find that these costs equate to a very small fraction of the cost of sending out promotional marketing material by the traditional post system.
Can I personalise my campaigns?
First Name (everything up to the first space character) – [firstname, fallback=friend]
Full Name – [fullname,fallback=friend]
When personalising your emails it is important to remember to include a fallback. You may not have all of your readers details in your database and you don’t want any blank spaces in your email. A fallback will fill in the space when the field is empty. For example, using the fallback “friend” will make sure that any personalisation where you using a readers name and one is not listed in your database, it will appear like this:
Can users unsubscribe from my email?
Yes. We’ve set SMEmail up so every email sent will contain a single-click unsubscribe link allowing any subscribers to remove themselves quickly and easily. Not only is this a common courtesy but a requirement under UK law since 2003.
How does SMEmail integrate with my website?
This display is handled automatically no need to stress.
Why would I pay to send my email newsletter?... Can't I just use Outlook?
The SMEmail reporting suite gives you a huge amount of invaluable data and information. This can be used to create business reports, to understand your audience better, to help improve your marketing strategy and to help with any lead nurturing programmes you may be managing.
SMEmail also gives you a sign up form which you can add to your website and even Facebook page.
As mentioned above, SMEmail goes to great lengths to make sure that your emails are delivered.
What if I want to stop using SMEmail?
There’s no requirement to do anything if you want to stop using SMEmail. There are no cancellation fees or notices. Feel free to export your subscriber list to use elsewhere.
We will keep your account open for 12 months, after which it will be closed and you’ll lose your historical reports and data.
If you want to start using SMEmail again before those 12 months, just log in as usual and create and send your email. If you want to start using SMEmail again after those 12 months, please get in touch and we’ll open you up with another account free of charge.
Can I try SMEmail without having to pay first?
Yep! All SMEmail accounts are free to open and you can send an email campaign to up to 5 subscribers completely free of charge. You’ll get all reports and functionality as you would if you were sending to 500.
